국제적인 교육 네트워크인 IED(Istituto Europeo di Design)는 1966년 이탈리아에서 기술을 갖춘 크리에이터를 필요로 했던 노동시장에 부응하기 위해 만들어졌다. 지난 50여 년간 디자인, 패션, 비주얼 아트, 창조 산업 커뮤니케이션과 매니지먼트 분야에서 교육과 리서치를 수행해왔으며, 이탈리아·스페인·브라질에도 분교를 열었다. IED의 사명은 재능 있는 젊은이들에게 이론과 실무 교육을 동시에 제공하고, 전문인으로 성장하는 데 필수적인 ‘디자인 지식과 사고방식’을 전달하는 것이다. IED는 학부와 석사과정 그리고 평생교육 수업을 어와 지역 언어로 진행한다.

IED(Istituto Europeo di Design) is an international network of education born in Italy in 1966 as a response to the local labour market that was asking for creatives with practical skills. IED has been operating in the fields of training and research, in the disciplines of Design, Fashion, Visual Arts, Communication and Management of the creative industries for over 50 years and over this time it managed to open branches in Italy, Spain and Brazil. IED mission is to offer young talents a thorough training-both theoretical and practicaland hand them the ‘Design Knowledge and Mindset’ that will be the key success factor in their careers. IED educational offer includes courses at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level as well as Continuing Education courses in both English and local language.
