따뜻한 울림

사람은 저마다 기억과 상상 속에 조합된 이상적인 그릇의 형태와 이미지가 있기에 시각의 객관화는 별 의미가 없다고 하지만 ‘담음’과 ‘아름다움’ 둘 중 어디에 무게중심을 두어야 할지는 늘 고민하게 된다.
그저 흙덩어리를 풀어내는 연속, 반복적인 작업을 하다 보면 무의식의 자아가 이끄는 대로 형태는 드러내어진다.
마루 도자기(Maru dojagi)는 치장하지 않는 한 문장의 담백함으로, 그 ‘그릇’이 조용하고 따뜻한 울림이길 바라고 바란다.
