루비는 디자인을 통해 발달 장애 청년들의 정서적·사회적 문제를 해결해나가고 있다. 그 첫걸음으로 종이 소재의 화분 커버 제품인 페이퍼루비를 선보였다. 발달 장애 청년들에게 원예 교육을 제공하고, 그들이 돌본 식물을 페이퍼루비에 담아 판매함으로써 경제적 활동의 시작을 함께하기 위함이다. ’탐색하는 선’을 주제로 하는 이번 전시에서는 선이 만들어내는 간결함과 균형감이 담긴 종이 화분, 페이퍼루비의 아름다움을 선보인다. 동시에 디자인을 통해 세상을 변화시키고자 하는 루비의 선한 의도를 관람객들과 공유하게 될 것이다.

RUBY aims to solve the emotional and social problems of young people with developmental disabilities through design. The first step was to introduce paper-based plant pot cover, PAPER RUBY. It is to provide gardening education to young people with developmental disabilities and to start economic activities together by selling the plants they have taken care of in PAPER RUBY. Under the theme of ’Exploring Lines, Exploring Goodness’ the exhibition will showcase the beauty of the PAPER RUBY, which contains the simplicity and balance. And RUBY’s good intentions to change the world through design will be shared with visitor.
