래;코드의 리플레이: 과거를 되감아 새로움을 창조하다.
‘옛 스웨터들’을 풀어 새 생명을 감는 창작을 경험하는 업사이클링

환경을 생각하는 지속 가능한 패션 브랜드 래;코드는 소각 예정인 재고를 활용해 새 컬렉션을 만들고, 그 과정에서 사회적 약자와 협업하는 활동을 2012년 론칭 이후 지속하고 있다. 이번 전시는 대형 디스플레이 구조물에 과거에 제작한 스웨터를 전시하는 것부터 시작한다. 스웨터에서 풀려 나온 실로 놀이하듯 새로운 사물을 만들어볼 수 있도록 참여형 전시를 기획했다. 이는 래;코드의 대표 워크숍인 ‘RE;table’로서 참가자들에게 새로운 업사이클링 경험을 제공할 것이다.

RE;CODE launched in 2012, aims at designing newness without waste. Indeed, its slogan conveys all its philosophy: for RE;CODE, “This Is Not Just Fashion.” The brand’s name is comprised of two elements: RE; the re-created design inspired by a revolutionary thinking and Code, the new culture beyond fashion, that spreads the value of sharing environmental concerns. ‘RE:PLAY’ exhibition starts from a hanging structure which contains old knitting clothes. Participants can deconstruct this clothes as a ‘play’, to make new accessories like a pompom for a Christmas tree. Through this workshop, RE;CODE introduces the first step of an up-cycling and ecofriendly experience.
