504-18은 2018 서울디자인페스티벌의 주제인 ’Young Retro’에 맞춰 다양한 리빙 오브제를 제안한다. 1970년대부터 제조업 중심지였던 을지로는 현대에도 전문가들의 손맛을 느낄 수 있는 옛 감성을 지닌 곳이다. 이곳에서 발품을 팔다 보면 레트로한 감성과 오래된 소재에서 새로운 디자인을 이끌어낼 수 있다. 을지로 거리에서 흔히 볼 수 있는 소재인 황동과 다른 소재를 결합해 현대적으로 해석한 디자인을 제안한다.

Eulji-ro, which has been the center of manufacturing since the 1970s, is an old-fashioned place where we can feel the touch of experts. When we were selling legwork on this street, it brings out a new design from the old material and the retro mood.
We suggest a contemporary interpretation of the design, that combined other materials with brass which can be easily seen in Eulji-ro.
